Welcome to the Shrewton Cricket Club Website. We are a rapidly expanding village club, located in Wiltshire, with three senior saturday sides playing in the Hampshire League, a Tuesday Night 20/20 team, Sunday Friendly Team and junior sides at U15, U13 and U11 levels. Our ground is situated at the Recreation Ground in Shrewton, just off the A303.

Shrewton is a club which now prides itself on its friendly atmosphere, an atmosphere created by the blend between young and old within the club. This blend has led to promotion for the Second XI in 2008 and the First XI in 2009, and the club hope to continue to push forward in 2011

This website provides coverage of every senior match played over the course of the summer, along with updates on the progress of the Junior sides. There is also a chance to see the players behind the bat and what they are known for beyond their cricketing abilities. The bottom of the page contains details of recent developments within the club.

RECENT NEWS:

Breaking News: Shrewton have won a grant of £660 from the Cash 4 Clubs scheme! The grant, which will go towards funding for coaching courses, will help the club move closer to Clubmark status. The grant comes just days after Shrewton confirmed they were particpating in the Sports Ball Shop 'Balls for Clubs' campaign, an agreement which has led to the Shrews adding to training resources.

Shrewton's first team are now consigned to relegation after the washout at Andover. They will once again have to fight there way out of County 2 next season. It seems the second team are also set for disapointment as there push for promotion will come up just short. However, the thirds will be satisfied with there season, as they finish towards the top of the table for the first time in several years.
There was also better news for the tuesday night side as they won the cup they last won in 2008. This was despite a poor showing in the league where they finished fifth.
The Colts had a mixed season, with the under 15s pushing South Wilts hard in the final before finishing just short. The under 13s didn't play enough games to get into the finals of there competition.

The club are always on the lookout for new members of any age or standard as getting three sides out on a saturday can be a struggle. If you are interested in playing for Shrewton, just get in contact with Jamie Mitchell on 07825883227. There will also be senior training on wednesday nights, starting from 20th July.
